The Process.

3 minute read.

A cheat-sheet on the typical process of working together with me.

(1) Introduction.

The initial kickoff is a 15-minute 1:1 meeting where we'll talk about your project and how I can help.

Maybe I’m not the best fit for this certain project—in which case I will let you know and recommend other great designers. Maybe your budget is way too low or way too high—I'll let you know how we can adjust the project. Or it’s love at first sight and we start the very next day. Either way this introduction is crucial and designed to be short and effective.

One way or another in those 15 minutes, I want to help you make the best possible design decision whether that means hiring me, someone else, or no one at all.

(2) Research.

Designing without research is just guessing.

After the introduction call, if we’ve both agreed that it makes sense to work together, I’ll send you roughly 20 in-depth customized questions about your business. For me to know your business inside and out is crucial if we are to design a solution.

At the start of any project, I write a few pages of thoughts and ideas which I then send to you and your team members for validation. Maybe I’m focusing too much on a particular target group. Maybe I didn’t quite understand something about your business.

Now is the time to revise that, not afterward.

(3) Design.

This is the fun part.

Here’s where we translate our well-thought-out thoughts and educated solutions into beautiful visual graphics.

When it comes to branding and logo design in particular—I don’t show any work until the final presentation. Why? I’m glad you asked. Design is objective. Everyone has different favorite colors and personal preferences, but at the end of the day, there’s a specific answer for your specific business.

I’m dependent on your, the client's, knowledge when it comes to your business, your industry, and future objectives. Not on personal color or type preferences.

(4) Presentation.

This is the really fun part.

You and your team members will be presented with your new identity and (hopefully) fall in love.

You will receive all necessary deliverables that are ready to go into action the same day.

What's included?

Standard is logo development and guidelines. If you need more, let me know!

How long does it take?

Good design takes time. I tend to want at least 4 weeks to create something timeless.

How much is it?

I've worked with clients with everything between $3k and $300k. I'll adjust the scope after your budget.

Hopefully this answered some quesitons.
